Our beloved smartphone brand, Xiaomi, has launched yet another flagship phone for the Redmi series. The new Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro are the new flagships of Xiaomi. Xiaomi Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro are launched in China with almost half the price of OnePlus 7 Pro. Our main concern is, will Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro come in Nepal? Here we are to find out.
We contacted Mi Nepal for the information about the availability of the devices in Nepal and got the reply as, “Stay tuned for further updates”. It seems as they too don’t know about the availability. The Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro are not available in India. As in the past, we can get our hands on these devices officially after two or three months of their availability in India.
Redmi K20 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset. And the Redmi K20 Pro is powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset. The Redmi K20 Pro comes with the 7th generation In-Display fingerprint scanner. It features a 48MP triple rear camera having Sony IMX 586 sensor and an 8MP telephoto lens and a 13MP wide-angle lens. The Redmi K20 also features a 48MP triple camera but, the sensor is the Sony IMX582. It can easily compete with camera-centric smartphones like Pixel and OPPO.
The popup cameras of the both Xiaomi flagship devices, Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro are of 20MP. The 3D glass body with a gradient finish of Redmi K20 series looks really awesome and make us wish to hold it on our hands, Along with the Red and Blue coloured 3D glass finish, Xiaomi also gave us a Carbon Fiber variant.
IS THIS THE ‘FLAGSHIP KILLER’ KILLER?
With the same specs as the OnePlus 7 Pro with half the price, is Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro the ‘flagship killer’ killer? The ‘K’ in Redmi K20 lineup is believed to be the ‘Killer’. It comes with the liquid cooling and the Antutu score of up to 458,000, the highest score on any android phone till now. Many tech enthusiasts believe it to be the new Pocofone.
WHO IS THIS PHONE FOR?
Having a flagship specs is not useful to any one. The Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro is no exception. It is especially for the people who do not care about the Operating System (OS) or the mobile skin but want the best raw performance. Redmi K20 comes with a lesser processor and lesser power. However, Redmi the K20 Pro is the best budget right now in terms of raw performance and power.
XIAOMI REDMI K20 AND REDMI K20 PRO PRICE IN NEPAL
Although the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro are launched only in China, we can guess the price of these flagship devices in Nepal. The Redmi K20 Pro starts at Chinese Yuan (CNY) 2499 going up to Chinese Yuan (CNY) 2999. The Redmi K20 starts at Yuan 1999.
Regardless of the blue colour or red colour variant of the Redmi K20, the price is the same. However, the device’s price starts from CNY 1999 (Rs 32,300*) for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant and the CNY 2099 (Rs 33,900*) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro, however, has four versions. The price of Redmi K20 Pro stands as:
6GB/64GB = CNY 2499 = Rs 40,300*
6GB/128GB = CNY 2599 = Rs 42,00*
8GB/ 128GB = CNY 2799 = Rs 45,200*
8GB/ 256GB = CNY 2999 = Rs 48,400*

The Redmi K20 has the Android 9 with MIUI 10 skin. The phone has a 6.39” AMOLED full HD+ display which has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 px. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 64 bit processor. The rear camera of the Redmi K20 is a triple camera. The camera is of 48MP + 8MP + 13MP camera with the 48MP having the Sony IMX582 sensor.
The battery capacity is of the 4000 mAh in Redmi K20 which is enough for the daily usage in moderate or decent use. It has the In-Display fingerprint which is a must in nowadays flagship devices. VERDICT FOR REDMI K20 AND REDMI K20 PRO:
The Xiamo Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro are no less than the flagship devices in terms of specs. But, the price of these devices makes it in the middle of the budget phones and the flagship phones. In our view, these devices are capable of taking over the smartphone market as Xiaomi are known to do. For right now, we think this is the actual flagship killer. What do you guys think?
